TIPS FROM BONNY:
Some tips....
If you have a metallic taste in your mouth after chemo and don't want to eat...then eat a pickle. It will change the acidity taste in your mouth and help foods taste better.
If you are told you can not use deodorant during radiation...ask your doctors if it is alright to use the natural deodorant that does not contain aluminum (usually found in health stores).

Message to Hair Peace Warriors from Bonny...
When I found my lump in 2003 I started planning my
funeral. I then found cancer is treatable. I also found
most insurance companies do not pay for wigs
needed from chemo. That is one of the reasons I
started Hair Peace Charities, to pay for wigs and
support women in faith. It has been my way of
fighting back in the "cancer war". Yes - it IS a war
with many battles along the way...some we win
some we lose, but we always continue in the fight
AND with my faith tight in my hand as my weapon, I
can say with confidence, "cancer will NEVER win -
ever". Cancer can take everything from me in this
world but in the next world - there is NO enemy!
Now take a deep breathe - WE are an army - of
many! Just like one snowflake alone can't make
anyone blink, but when thousands of snowflakes
gather together - everything stops....(and no, we
are not a bunch of flakes!) So - get armed, prepare
for battle with the help of thousands on your side!
I hope you can join us in our Hair Peace Women's
Circle, the 3rd Wednesday of each month at
Ingomar Church - the place that gave Hair Peace
it's start. It is designed to educate all women in
ways to be healthier, allows us a place to share
and have a time of prayer. It is open to all women
of all faiths with an open invitation to a circle of
communion.
I also ask that you tell others about Hair Peace
spelled PEACE. Spread the word that Hair Peace
assists local women and girls battling cancer - it is
not for research, not for any area other than
Western PA. With God on our side the words "no
hope" do not apply.
Thanks for supporting Hair Peace in your special
way, God bless you!
Bonny and the army of Warriors!
Breast cancer numbers...32 women in PA will be
told they have breast cancer each day. PA is the
4th leading state with breast cancer diagnosis. If
you know 8 women, one will be told they have
breast cancer.
